Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration

Curriculum

The Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration program prepares students to install, service, and troubleshoot the heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems found in homes, businesses, and industry. Students study refrigeration principles, electrical controls, and airflow design, and apply that knowledge in a hands-on lab stocked with live equipment, refrigerant recovery stations, and diagnostic tools.

Graduates are prepared for entry-level HVAC technician roles with residential and commercial service companies, and the program prepares students to sit for EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling certification, an industry-required credential.
