Associate in Science (University Transfer)
Curriculum
The Associate in Science is a fully transferable general-education degree for students planning to complete a bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics field. The curriculum builds a strong foundation in mathematics and laboratory science alongside the communication and social-science courses expected of every incoming junior at a four-year institution.
Students complete a full year of general chemistry and take physics, biology, and statistics courses that mirror the first two years of a typical STEM bachelor's degree, giving them a running start once they transfer. Faculty advisors help students select courses that align with their intended major and target transfer institution.
Graduates leave with the mathematics and laboratory-science foundation to compete for admission into pre-professional and STEM bachelor's programs, at a fraction of the cost of two years at a four-year university.
